About

Our Counselors

At Stories of Hope, we recruit counselors that share our values of social justice, inclusion, professionalism, cultural humility, and continuous curiosity about the stories of our clients.

You can review the profiles and feel free to call or email the counselor that you think could fit your particular needs.
We will do our best to provide an appointment with the counselor of your choice, but sometimes it depends on our availability and we will go with you through the process of finding the best option at that time.

One of the intentions of Stories of Hope is to inspire new generations of therapists through professional and committed supervision,  where relational ethics, multicultural humility, and compassionate perspective guide their practice.

Our interns and associates come from diverse personal, cultural, and professional backgrounds since we honor and know how diverse perspectives benefit our world and contribute to finding creative solutions.

They are all supervised by Rosy De Prado, LMFT, AAMFT approved Supervisor Candidate, and with 20 years of experience in therapy and as a faculty.

I believe that we each carry invaluable and unique experiences that bring their own set of unique challenges, and therapy creates a space that allows us to explore ways that we can overcome those challenges. I am a music composer and puppy owner, and I love cooking for my family!

My therapeutic approach combines elements of internal family systems, experiential therapy, the Gottman method, narrative, music and art therapy.

I am available for in-person and telehealth

I am currently a Clinical Intern in the Family and Marriage Therapy Masters Program at Seattle Pacific University.

I enjoy meeting and working with kids and their families, adults, couples, and people from all possible intersecting identities. I believe everyone deserves to feel love and safety, and we all possess the strength to own and modify our personal or collective story. Problems exist separate from the people they attach themselves to, and it’s possible to create a story where that problem is no longer welcome. I have experience working with youth, adults, families, and couples from diverse intersecting identities including BIPOC, LGBTQIA, neuro-diverse, and various cultural and religious backgrounds.

Therapy Approach: Narrative, Solution-Focused, Systemic-Relational and EMDR trauma informed.

I am currently a Clinical Intern in the Master of Couples and Family Therapy at Seattle University.
