About

Our Counselors

At Stories of Hope, we recruit counselors that share our values of social justice, inclusion, professionalism, cultural humility, and continuous curiosity about the stories of our clients.

You can review the profiles and feel free to call or email the counselor that you think could fit your particular needs.
We will do our best to provide an appointment with the counselor of your choice, but sometimes it depends on our availability and we will go with you through the process of finding the best option at that time.

One of the intentions of Stories of Hope is to inspire new generations of therapists through professional and committed supervision,  where relational ethics, multicultural humility, and compassionate perspective guide their practice.

Our interns and associates come from diverse personal, cultural, and professional backgrounds since we honor and know how diverse perspectives benefit our world and contribute to finding creative solutions.

They are all supervised by Rosy De Prado, LMFT, AAMFT approved Supervisor Candidate, and with 20 years of experience in therapy and as a faculty.

I am a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish) that works with families, couples, and individuals from 5 to 99+ years old. Working with support and therapy groups and providing workshop spaces is one of my passions.

Therapy Approach:  from a systemic relational perspective, some are Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief, CBT, EMDR, Collaborative, and Feminist.

I like to use art and play therapy when working with children and youth and also with adults if they are up for that.

I come to counseling work by way of my own stories of suffering and hope, and it is my deepest honor to assist others who are seeking relief. As a therapist and human being, the story I hope to live into is one of co-liberation. I view my role as collaborative - together we can work to address the problems you are encountering, in ways that will work for you, and uncover opportunities for empowerment and a more meaningful life. May all beings find relief, and may we move toward living in the stories we prefer.

Therapy Approach: Narrative, Person-centered, Emotionally Focused, Mindfulness-based, and Sex Therapy.
I am available for In-person and Telehealth sessions with adults and youth.

I am currently a Clinical Intern in the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program at Antioch University Seattle, where I received my Certificate in Sex Therapy.

I feel honored to sit with people as they navigate the painful points of life. I believe connection itself can be deeply healing, and one of the greatest gifts I offer is a safe and compassionate presence. I trust that each person is the expert on their own healing, and I see my role as a guide alongside them in that process. I have a special interest in working with couples and families, and I also connect easily with teens and children. I am trauma-focused in my work as part of my commitment to helping clients heal from painful experiences. In addition, I feel called to serve first responders and those experiencing grief, holding space for the unique weight of those journeys.

Therapy Approach: Systemic relational, Person-Centered, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Informed Care, and grief-focused therapy. I am available for in-person and Telehealth sessions.

I am currently a Clinical Intern in the Master of Arts in Couples and Family Therapy (MACFT) program at Indiana Wesleyan University, graduating in 2026.
